"There’s a certain je ne sais quoi to it" is my typical, satirical response to bewildered faces asking why I decided to study French while pursuing a pre-med biology degree.
Yet the true reason is much less ambiguous. The lessons learned and skills acquired from life as a francophone are germane to every situation and future endeavor in which I may find myself.
