ABOUT

ME

Born and raised in Great Falls, MT, I grew up working summers on my grandfather's farm and helping in my parent's small town pharmacy.

My interest in different cultures and languages began at 10 years old when I spoke to my uncle of his time in Eastern Europe during the Cold War. Seeing language as a door to new relationships and opportunities, I began learning French in college, declaring it as my second major alongside biology.

Having a desire to enter the medical field and give of myself to others, my college years were filled with local and international service trips, leadership positions, and dedication to pre-medical academics. With a sociable and empathetic nature, I found optometry to be a profession that suited me well and have subsequently been accepted to the optometry program at SCCO in Fullerton, California.

Upon delving into the field more, I've realized that knowledge of French, alongside the superior scientific education I have received, has placed me at a level better suited to the needs of an expanding optometric field. With major ophthalmic companies having headquarters throughout France and French-speaking locales to the immense lack of medical professionals in impoverished francophone African countries, I bring a unique suite of skills and experience into the next generation of eye-care professionals.
